The WebSphere administrator to be responsible for providing support to business websites. The responsibilities of a WebSphere administrator include performing QA audits, developing firewalls, and troubleshooting problems.
To be successful as a WebSphere administrator, you should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and analytical. Ultimately, a top-notch WebSphere administrator should have superior troubleshooting skills, be able to work quickly and efficiently, and willing to work outside of office hours when necessary.

Responsibilities
- Installation, implementation, upgrading, performance, security, patching and monitoring of
- WebSphere Application Server environments.
- Deploying and testing applications.
- Candidate must have detailed understanding of J2EE standards, JDBC configuration, JNDI
- Directory Services, SOAP and WebServices.
- Configuring and managing IBM HTTP Server from WebSphere Application Server.
- Fulfilling requests for access and system logs.
- Monitoring, tracking, trending, analysis and tuning of the WebSphere environments.
- Troubleshooting issues and providing L2 support for WebSphere Application Server.
- Testing and implementing upgrades and patches.
- Performing QA audits.
- Configuring and testing production environments.
- Developing and testing scripts to control WebSphere application servers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or another related field Or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel/relocate.
- Linux basic knowledge (Administration is a plus).
- Good communication skills. Fluent in English.
- Experience in WebSphere Application Server administration (Certification is a plus).
- Security knowledge is a must.
- Good documentation and presentation skills.
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-organized, can manage a small team of less experienced teammates.
- Ability to do fast learning, receiving delivering handovers in timely fashion.
- Good planner, has the ability to plan for system enhancements, patching, upgrades.
- Fast adaptation to different working environments.
