The Department of Film, Television, and Media Studies at Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television is searching for a one-year faculty position beginning Fall semester 2025. The successful candidate will teach three classes each semester and advise undergraduate majors. The candidate will teach foundational courses within the major and minor, including Introduction to Media and Culture, World Cinema, and Film and Media Theory. Depending on expertise, the candidate may design and lead an upper-division course in their specialization. The department encourages applicants whose scholarship and teaching advance interdisciplinary perspectives using transnational, global, and intersectional approaches to film, television, and media studies. The position requires a PhD in Film, Television, and Media Studies or related field by August 15, 2025, and a minimum of three years of university-level teaching experience.
