In 2022, Safran acquired Orolia, now Safran Trusted 4D, the world leader in Resilient PNT. At the intersection of critical infrastructure and national defense, Safran Trusted 4D solutions govern and protect the integrity of systems that shape the world.
In early 2019, Orolia Defense & Security spun off as a separate entity from its parent company Orolia, with the mission of providing resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) solutions and custom engineering services to U.S. Government agencies, U.S. Defense organizations, and their contractors.
In August of 2019, Safran Federal Systems acquired Talen-X, a U.S. company specializing in advanced GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Simulation solutions and Interference, Detection, and Mitigation (IDM) technologies. Talen-X's portfolio was an ideal fit and has helped to enhance Safran FS's overall offerings. The acquisition enabled Talen-X's existing resources, operations, and capabilities to be scaled and accelerated to better support the warfighter. Read the press release here.

How I Will Contribute
- Serves as a first point of contact in answering various HR questions to include benefits, policies, handbook, payroll, etc.
- Processes weekly reconciliation of payroll and inputs data on internal audit spreadsheets to ensure quality control. Verifies time and attendance and resolves discrepancies.
- Processes various reimbursements through payroll to include gym reimbursements, tuition reimbursement, referral and sign-on bonuses.
- Supports Talent Acquisition Business Partner with scheduling interviews, greeting and escorting candidates, and other related activities.
- Ensures a positive experience in interacting with new hires in the preboarding process through orientation after start. This includes initiating background checks, confirming 1st day logistics, and otherwise supporting activities to welcome new hires.
- Conducts benefits orientation for new hires.
- Conducts exit interviews and supports the HRBP in quarterly reporting.
- Collaborates with and supports the HR team in company-wide initiatives and projects to include annual performance evaluations, goal-setting, bonus/merit notifications, training and organizational development activities, compliance, and other projects as needed.
- Serves as primary point of contact for Workers Compensation and Unemployment.
- Creates and maintains electronic employee records.
- Processes status changes including benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Serves as backup to other functional areas within HR.
- Updates and maintains the external HR SharePoint site.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and trends related to job function.
- Performs other related duties, projects, and initiatives as assigned.
- Minimum of two years of experience in HR, bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
- HRIS experience (ADP preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, time management, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions to include maintaining confidentiality.
- The ability to remain poised under all circumstances, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner, that engenders confidence and trust.
- Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Continuous learner with a strong desire to develop knowledge, skills, and competencies in the field of HR.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated expertise in using advanced functions.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
