GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of human resources processes and requirements; 2) Ability to provide clerical and technical support for an organization; 3) Capacity to satisfy program and other customer requirements and demands.
GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Knowledge of and ability to apply rules and procedures to a variety of human resources processes and requirements;2) Applying classification standards to positions in a variety of clerical and technical occupations;3) Performing technical support in recruitment, staffing and placement activities for an organization;4) Providing program support for Labor and Employee Relations programs;5) Functioning as a referral source to employees on health benefits options, retirement options, incentive awards and employee benefit programs.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Gs-05
Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school or
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience

As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
- You will personnel clerical service and technical support in a variety of personnel areas including coordinating recruitment actions by the Human Resource Services Center.
- You will perform duties in the functional areas of staffing, wage and classification, and employee relations particulary relating to benefits.
- You will provide HR-related information to employees, managers and human resources advisors.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
