Responsibilities
- The JavaScript Developer resolves prioritized issues from the issue tracker, writing high-quality code.
- Continually improves the quality of Astronomer by using discretion of where you think changes are needed.
- The JavaScript Developer develops features from proposal to polished end result. A self-starter who can takes work on an idea quickly and iterates through feedback.
- The JavaScript Developer supports and collaborates with our support engineers in getting to the bottom of user-reported issues and come up with robust solutions.
- Engages with the core team and the open source community to collaborates on improving Astronomer.
- Manages and reviews code contributed by the rest of the community and works with them to get it ready for production.
- The JavaScript Developer creates and maintains documentation around features and configuration to save our users time.
- The JavaScript Developers works with multiple technologies, and handles more aspects of a project than an average programmer.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, and full knowledge of React.js and Node.
- Ideally with experience writing Electron based desktop apps.
- Experience working with rich media ad serving platforms.
- Knowledge of programming languages and Web platforms.
- Experience of identifying client requirements and developing creative and innovative client-centric solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and occasionally work under tight timeline.
- Mastery of Java, JavaScript, SQL, design patterns, REST, dependency injection, etc.
- Experience delivering high uptime Software-as-a-Service applications.
