We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a Program Management Office within the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The successful candidate will lead and manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards. This role requires strong project management expertise, effective coordination with cross-functional teams, and alignment with USCG PMO strategic objectives to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets that align with USCG PMO stakeholder requirements.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams to ensure successful project execution, including setting goals, objectives, and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with established project management methodologies, standards, and best practices, including those related to quality, safety, and environmental management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing and implementing effective contingency plans to minimize potential impacts.
- Monitor and report project progress to USCG PMO stakeholders, providing timely and accurate updates on project status, issues, and changes.
- Develop strategies to ensure successful project execution and address critical issues promptly.
- Communicate project status, issues, and changes to USCG PMO stakeholders in a clear, concise, and timely manner, including providing recommendations for corrective action.
- Develop, maintain, and store project documentation, including project plans, status reports, lessons learned, and other relevant records, in accordance with USCG PMO's document management policies.
- Coordinate project roadmaps and resource schedules with USCG and contractor leads, balancing scope, resources, and schedule constraints.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Leading cross-functional teams and coordinating project activities.
- Risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Experience supporting:
- Stakeholder communication and project status reporting.
- Compliance with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK or Agile).
- Project documentation and record keeping.
- Industry certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equivalent.
- Experience in federal government or USCG project management initiatives.
- Familiarity with the USCG's Transformation Trackline and tools such as CG Teams Planner or Kanban boards for project tracking.
- Full-time, W2 employment
- Exempt, salaried

- Clearance requirement: Hold a current, active Public Trust or higher
- Must be U.S. citizen
