The QA Analyst/QA Tester conducts automated and manual tests to verify software performance and compliance with user requirements. In addition, they are responsible for constructing and executing test plans, system tests, integration tests, regression tests, and load testing to simulate peak traffic conditions. Additionally, ensures the application meets legal and best-practice security and accessibility standards and conducts related testing.
Education And Experience
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in quality assurance testing
- Extensive experience in large scale design and implementation projects
- Experience with tools and methodologies for performance testing (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter) to simulate and validate system behavior under peak conditions
- Masters in Computer Science, or related field (desired)
- Experience working with education systems or Department of Education (desired)
- ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent
- Analyze requirements and user stories to develop comprehensive test cases
- Perform manual and automated functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to identify flaws and ensure timely resolution
- Maintain traceability between test cases and requirements
- Create and maintain documentation of test results
- Proficient working with Selenium, LoadRunner, Cypress, JMeter, WAVE, Axe, WCAG Standards
- Expertise in design, development, and creation of test plans and supporting test cases for computer systems and business applications based on business and functional requirements
- Ability to execute manual and automated test cases
- Strong knowledge of accessibility testing standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience using related tools (e.g., WAVE, Axe)
- Ability to identify, analyze, and report security vulnerabilities using industry-standard security testing frameworks (e.g., OWASP, Veracode)
- Knowledge of Waterfall and DevOps environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams as well as independently
- Ability to clearly communicate risks, obstacles, and issues
