Social Media Marketing Intern: Fall 2023

Observer Media, home to digital media platforms Observer and Commercial Observer, is looking for a creative and analytical intern to help grow awareness of our brand and develop our audience through social media analysis and content creation.

The Social Media Intern will gain hands-on experience in audience development for a premier online editorial platform and have the opportunity to collaborate directly with senior leadership.

Responsibilities May Include

• – Draft social media posts for observer.com
• – Assist with weekly and monthly insights and analytics tracking
• – Research, compile and present on industry trends and benchmarks
• – Research, create and present a competitive analysis
• – Draft post-campaign recap decks
• – Compile list of influencers to target for engagement
• – Create agenda and track action items for weekly social media stakeholder meeting
  
  

Qualifications

• – Eligible for college credit.
• – Ability to spend at least one full day per week at our Manhattan office; there may be opportunities to do some work remotely.
• – Passion for communications and social media
• – Basic understanding of social media analytics tools, Google Analytics and Canva or Photoshop are useful, but not required.
• – Willingness to learn quickly.
• – Desire to take on responsibility and provide creative suggestions.
