The Build Engineer is in charge of the software design, building phases, and release duties for their organization.The Build Engineer creates and maintain infrastructure to build software applications, as well as test and troubleshoot code before release.


Responsibilities
  • Applies established design, best practices, tools, and release management principles as defined by the architect and the team.
  • Improving and adapting release processes for changing business needs.
  • The Build Engineer is responsible for scheduling and deployment to non-production and production environments by applying defined configuration.
  • Develops and maintains release management process. Align with source code control management and deployment best practices.
  • The Build Engineer contributes in improving automated build/release scripts and plans.
  • Communicates with members of software development and other project group to ensure project objectives are met.
  • The Build Engineer troubleshoots release and deployment issues to ensure release process will have positive impact to both internal and external clients.
  • Contributes and reviews improvements of the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for software release management .

Qualifications
  • Relational database experience. Preferably
  • Capability to support a software development teams’ timelines and targets.
  • Capability and desire to be a strong team player.
  • Familiarity with change management systems and processes
  • Familiarity with principles of continuous integration and the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge with Continuous Delivery Concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical, creative, adaptable, resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills, and ability to follow through to completion .
