As a Coherent IO RTL Architect, you will work with chip architects to conceive of the micro-architecture, deliver RTL design, and also help with architecture/product definition of the SOC through early involvement in the product life-cycle.
- Coherent IO RTL Architect collaborates with physical design team to close timing, area targets, reliability, etc.
- Coherent IO RTL Architect supports the verification team to devise appropriate test plans and verification strategy.
- Coherent IO RTL Architect convert design spec to Verilog RTL.
- Conceive of the micro-architecture and write design specifications.
- Coherent IO RTL Architect works with chip architect to understand architecture concept and high level requirements.
- Drive from high level requirements and use cases into a set of detailed architecture/microarchitecture specifications.
- Coherent IO RTL Architect perform and present Power, Performance, Area, Risk and Schedule analysis for SoC features/functions as necessary.
- Coherent IO RTL Architect leads ASIC project execution from Product Spec/High-level Architecture spec to final tape out and productization.
- Some experience in design verification and/or physical design is a plus.
- Familiarity with high performance and low power design techniques.
- Experience in designing IO link controllers for PCIe or other high speed interfaces is a plus.
- Experience in IOMMU design and/or performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of IO performance issues from protocol level to application lev.
- Expertise in multi-socket interconnect implementations like GMI (Infinity Fabric), QPI/UPI, CCIX, etc.
- Strong understanding of ordering rules for various protocols and experience with bridging across protocols.
- Practical experience with implementation of coherent interconnects/protocols.
