Responsibilities
  • The Data & Disaster Recovery Specialist reviews the testing and implementation of software, data systems, and data networks to ensure that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately protected.
  • The Data & Disaster Recovery Specialist facilitates the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan.
  • Assists in the coordination and establishment of disaster recovery programs and business resumption planning across mainframe and client server platforms.
  • The Data & Disaster Recovery Specialist coordinates and monitors simulation testing across all platforms.
  • Designs and administers programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, and a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.
  • The Data & Disaster Recovery Specialist performs damage assessments of public facilities and infrastructure to determine eligibility .
  • Develops Project Worksheets (PWs), damage descriptions and dimensions (DDDs) and Scopes of Work.
  • The Data & Disaster Recovery Specialist provides guidance and ensure special considerations and compliance issues have been address in a specific area of expertise.

Qualifications
  • Experience in DR testing, policy development and facilitation.
  • Must possess strong analytical, managerial, and organizational skills
  • Related experience of leading and managing large scale IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) programs.
  • Must be able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with multiple groups and organizations.
  • Experience in documenting and maintaining a disaster recovery plan.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with NetBackup Bare Metal Restore.
  • Skills in designing, testing, and implementing disaster recovery plan for IT data centers, apps, and systems.
  • Experience in database import, export, and backup experience.
