The Digital Design Engineer designs new digital hardware products and creates the circuitry that is necessary for the products to function. The Digital Design Engineer will test and verify circuitry such as mixed signal circuitry.
- The Digital Design Engineer works in a team environment to create and engineer digital design subsystems from concept through to tape-out.
- Models controls loop feedback and signal processing algorithms using tools such as Matlab and Simulink.
- Converts subsystems into real-world final designs for integration into final product.
- Supports tape-out and post-silicon activities including validation, characterization, and production test.
- The Digital Design Engineer designs and develop a variety of digital and DSP IP blocks for high performance audio processing IC's.
- Specifies, designs, verifies and validates high-speed digital logic from ground-up.
- Documents technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Executes, designs, analyzes, evaluates projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Deep understanding of the digital design flow from architecture, RTL design, verification, and synthesis.
- Understanding of control theory and discrete time, z-domain, signal processing techniques
- Experience designing and verifying complex state-machines.
- Experience with mixed-signal design, simulation, and verification.
- Experience with Back-end flow including synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis.
- Strong lab and silicon validation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
