Powers delivery modeling, simulation, and characterization for die, package, board, and Voltage Regulator.
Defines the power architectures and designs solution for the system.
The Power Integrity Engineer works closely with SoC, FW, Package, and Circuit design engineers locally and remotely.
Provides SI/PI expertise for SSD controller package substrate design and SSD PCB design.
The Power Integrity Engineer will drive new design characterization & validation to mass production and be responsible for working cross functionally.
Knowledge on lab equipment including but not limited to VNA, real-time scope, spectrum analyzer.
Good knowledge on packaging and PCB technology preferred.
Good knowledge in 3D/2D EM simulation tools (ANSYS / HFSS; Sigrity, CST, ADS, Spice, etc)
Deep understanding of power supply architecture covering voltage regulator technologies, PCB and package design trends and trade-offs, and chip supply design.
Knowledge of DDR4/5 JEDEC specs and/or SERDES standards (PCIE, USB, ethernet, etc.) is a plus
Experience in SI/PI methodology development, PDN modeling from system to die, and lab correlation/validation.
Deep understanding of Voltage Regulator design principles and electrical performance in the system environment.
Master’s degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields with 8+ years of experience.
