RSU5, one of the state’s premier districts serving over 2000 students in the communities of Durham, Freeport, and Pownal is seeking an innovative educational leader to join our team as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. The Assistant Superintendent leads the development and implementation of the K-12 curriculum, assessment, and instructional programs, oversees the educator evaluation system and manages federal ESEA grants. The position offers a system committed to excellence and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years successful experience in teaching and administration, a minimum of a Master’s degree or higher in Educational Administration, Educational Leadership or equivalent and hold or be eligible for Professional Certification as an Assistant Superintendent (015) from the State of Maine.
