Job Summary

Southeastern University (SEU) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a passion for Christian higher education and innovative enrollment strategies. This individual will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of all aspects of online undergraduate enrollment, with a focus on building robust Competency-Based Education (CBE) pipelines and cultivating fruitful partnerships with corporations, ministries, and community organizations. The Director will champion SEU’s mission to equip students to discover and develop their divine design to serve Christ and the world through Spirit-empowered life, learning, and leadership.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Chief Enrollment Officer

Supervisory Responsibility: Associate Director of Online Enrollment, Senior Enrollment Counselor - Online, Enrollment Counselor - Online

Indirect Supervisory Responsibility: Student Leadership - Online

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following:

Strategic Enrollment Growth

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic enrollment plan for online undergraduate programs that aligns with institutional goals and market opportunities.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of a robust pipeline for Competency-Based Education (CBE) programs, collaborating with academic departments to identify and create market-relevant CBE offerings.
  • Identify and target key student populations for online and competency-based education (CBE) programs, understanding their unique needs and motivations.
  • Utilize data analytics and market research to inform strategy, identify emerging trends, and optimize recruitment efforts for online learning.
  • Ensure that all recruitment and enrollment strategies for online programs reflect SEU’s commitment to faith integration and the development of students' divine design.

Partnership & Corporate Engagement

  • Proactively identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with corporations, non-profit organizations, ministries, and other entities to create enrollment pipelines and pathways for online undergraduate students, including those in CBE programs.
  • Develop tailored partnership agreements that provide mutual benefits, such as employee tuition benefits, customized training solutions (potentially leveraging CBE), and internship/career placement opportunities.
  • Represent Southeastern University at external events, conferences, and meetings to promote online programs and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with university advancement and academic departments to ensure a coordinated approach to external partnerships that aligns with SEU's mission and values.

Admissions Operations & Team Leadership

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the online undergraduate admissions office, ensuring efficient and effective processes from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of online enrollment counselors, fostering a student-centered and Christ-like approach to service.
  • Effectively manage CRM systems and other admissions technologies to optimize communication, tracking, and reporting for all online program enrollment needs.
  • Develop and manage the online undergraduate admissions budget effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and accreditation standards for admissions and recruitment.

Collaboration & University Engagement

  • Work collaboratively with marketing, academic advising, student financial services, and other university departments to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for online students.
  • Serve on university committees as assigned.
  • Champion the value of online learning and innovative enrollment models within the broader university community.

Additional/Non-essential Duties

All remaining duties are considered "nonessential" within the context of the ADA, which means that the function could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position. Alternatively, the manager could try to provide a reasonable accommodation so that the disabled individual could perform the function.

SEU Lakeland Downtown Offices (this is not a remote position)

EDUCATION

Required Education:

Bachelor's in Education, Business Administration or other related field

Preferred Education:

Master's in Education, Business Administration, Leadership or other related field

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Experience

Required:

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in higher education admissions and enrollment management, with specific expertise in online student recruitment.

Preferred:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required:

  • Proven success in developing and managing partnerships, particularly corporate partnerships, for enrollment growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate the mission and value of Southeastern University to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other enrollment management technologies.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A personal commitment to the Christian faith and a deep understanding of and appreciation for the mission and values of Southeastern University
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

Preferred:

A significant asset is a demonstrated understanding of and experience developing or managing enrollment for Competency-Based Education (CBE) programs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

TRAINING

All New Hires And Employees Transferring Into a New Position Will Have a 90-day Probationary Period Within Which To Learn The Functions Of The Job And To Be Evaluated. Following The Probationary Period, The Employee Can Transition To Regular Status, Have The Probationary Period Extended In Order To Receive More Training, Or Employment Can Be Terminated. SCREENING

All full-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks. Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the University’s insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.
