Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team on first shift. This position is responsible for applying rubber to industrial rollers using an extrusion process. The operator takes rubber from the mill room, feeds it into the extruder, and applies the rubber to the roller to precise specifications.

The ideal candidate will have prior extrusion or manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a production environment with attention to detail and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor rubber extrusion equipment to apply rubber to rollers.
• Feed rubber material into the extruder and ensure proper application to specifications.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures and pi tapes to verify part dimensions.
• Perform simple math calculations as needed.
• Utilize basic hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  
  

Requirements

• Extrusion experience preferred.
• Experience operating a manual lathe preferred.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane.
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools such as a tape measure and pi tape.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools.
