Job Summary

Supports assigned service line(s) and/or assigned hospital(s). Interacts with all levels of management to provide analysis and recommendations that support the organization’s financial goals and strategic plan. Works with Administration and Finance leaders.

Essential Functions

• Prepares monthly Internal Financial Review. Prepares monthly financials, including current period performance, in-depth financial trend, variance analysis, and profit and loss (P&L) analysis for Administration.
• Participates in the annual operating budget including volumes, revenue, FTEs, salary, supply, and other expenses in accordance with system profitability targets. Reviews and monitors budget input and spread to minimize budget error.
• Provides financial support in identifying issues pertinent to department financial operations.
• Monitors charge capture and analyzes reimbursement trends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field of study.
• Experience - No previous experience required
  
  

In Lieu Of

• In lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, the following combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered an equivalent substitution: Bachelor’s degree can be in a discipline other than Finance, Business or Accounting if candidate has an MBA, MHA, or CPA.
  
  

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

• CPA preferred.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to analyze, summarize, and effectively present data.
• Knowledge of standard accounting principles and budgeting procedures.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
