The Planner Scheduler (On-Site) is responsible for analyzing, planning, scheduling, and releasing weekly production requirements for designated customers and manufacturing lines. This role ensures production meets forecasted demand while minimizing cost, maintaining efficiency,

and achieving inventory objectives.

The Planner Scheduler works cross-functionally to mitigate supply challenges, maintain effective communication throughout the supply chain, and uphold PRL’s Core Values — driving excellence, adaptability, and collaboration in everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align supply plans with updated customer demand requirements.
  • Attend key cross-functional meetings to confirm capacity, raw material, component, and data accuracy.
  • Monitor and adjust supply plans throughout the month, ensuring timely system updates and communication of any deviations to Sales and Customer Service.
  • Identify and resolve issues regarding operations, materials, inventory, documentation, raw material replenishment, delivery, or quality performance.
  • Collaborate across departments to mitigate supply challenges and ensure clear communication throughout the supply chain.
  • Plan and release optimized weekly production requirements to manufacturing that maximize efficiency and meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Partner with Purchasing and Quality teams to ensure visibility to material requirements and develop solutions for supply mitigation needs.
  • Ensure new product launches, discontinuations, and customer transitions are planned accurately and executed smoothly.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to align daily and weekly production runs with the master production plan.
  • Develop, update, and communicate daily and weekly production schedules in coordination with Operations, Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, raw material availability, staffing, or equipment issues.
  • Analyze production capacity, lead time, and constraints to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Core Competencies/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience (minimum three years).
  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Production Scheduling, or a

related field.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Data Ninja, Monday) and strong Excel

analytical skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Flexible and responsive with a high sense of urgency.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, or Food Manufacturing industries is desired.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to airborne dust or particles, moving mechanical parts, and heavy machinery.
  • Work may require use of PPE, including hearing protection and respirators (partial-face, full-face, or PAPR suit).
  • Work is typically performed in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday (shifts may vary based on the needs of the company)
  • Occasional overtime may be required
  • Required to be on-site
