Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, field teams, and vendors. Occasional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, prepare, and deliver project proposals
  • Develop and manage budgets, cost controls, and expense reports
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules and progress tracking
  • Review design drawings, estimate project scope changes, and write change orders
  • Prepare monthly billings, financial projections, and reporting spreadsheets
  • Draft and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, field correspondence, and project documentation
  • Oversee the creation of submittals, O&M manuals, air balance logs, and as-built drawings
  • Foster strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, internal staff, and suppliers
  • Collaborate with team personnel to coordinate and complete necessary training
  • Maintain consistent and professional communication regarding project status and issues
  • Ensure all project close-out procedures are completed accurately and on time
  • Promote and implement the team's safety standards on every project
  • Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Bluebeam
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management or project engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Mechanical engineering or construction background preferred, but not required
  • Proven record of managing successful projects and delivering customer satisfaction
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Experience managing mechanical projects ranging from $100K to $2M+
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and Bluebeam
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, squat, and lift as needed
  • Willingness to work extended hours as project demands require
