Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration.
- Knowledge of databases like (MS-SQL, MySQL) and NoSQL
- Knowledge of Hadoop echosystem, Spark,Hive, and HDFS. Elasticsearch is a plus.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Flink. Druid is a plus.
- Programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Groovy, Bash.
- Processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources.
- Knowledge of data cleaning, wrangling, visualization, and reporting, with an understanding of the best, most efficient use of associated tools and applications to complete these tasks.
- Knowledge with open-source technologies and cloud services.
- A willingness to explore new alternatives or options to solve data issues, and utilize a combination of industry best practices, data innovations
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.
- Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.
- Knowledge of Current with industry trends, IT ops, industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement.
- Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer Engineering.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 1- 3 years of experience on data engineering or related field.
- Excellent knowledge of dimensional data modeling and data warehousing.
- Good knowledge of bigdata tools and echo systems, like cloudera, kafka, nifi and spark
- Good communication skills.
- Nationality (Egyptian)
