Macsteel Service Centres SA – Cape Town is currently recruiting BBBEE candidates for Stores and Warehouse learnerships.
The purpose of the Stores & Warehouse Learnership is to provide practical and theoretical training in warehouse and stores operations. It equips learners with hands-on experience in stock handling, distribution processes and warehouse procedures to prepare them for working in a logistics or warehouse environment.

The purpose of the Stores & Warehouse Learnership is to provide practical and theoretical training in warehouse and stores operations. It equips learners with hands-on experience in stock handling, distribution processes and warehouse procedures to prepare them for working in a logistics or warehouse environment.
- External learners will receive a monthly Stipend from the company and will be placed in the company (for the duration of the learnership) to apply the practical learning component.
- Intake is merit based and candidates who do not meet the stipulated criteria will not be considered.
- Candidates are requested to send their updated CV’s with the following documentation attached:
- ID
- Matric certificate / statement of results
- Proof of banking details (letter from the bank)
- Proof of tax registration (SARS letter)
- Grade 12 (matric)
- Minimum of 50% in English- Essential
- Minimum of 50% in Mathematics / 60% in Maths Lit- Essential
- Ability to communicate in English (read, write and speak) – Essential.
- Age 18 – 28.
- Availability and commitment to complete a full year (12 months) of training – practical time will be set in warehouse environment.
- Required to work a 3-shift system.
- Must reside in Bellville, Cape Town or surrounding areas.
- General practical tasks of the functions in the warehouse department.
- Attend all theoretical training sessions and practical workplace training as scheduled.
- Actively participate in learning activities and complete assignments.
- Complete all required workplace tasks.
- Maintain a portfolio of evidence demonstrating competence.
- Follow the employer’s policy, procedures’, and code of conduct.
- Customer service
- Loading and offloading material.
- Support operators and supervisor with operational tasks.
- Understand operational workflow and distribution workflow.
