IBM WebShpere Administrator

Urgently for EJADA EGYPT: The WebSphere administrator to be responsible for providing support to business websites. The responsibilities of a WebSphere administrator include performing QA audits, developing firewalls, and troubleshooting problems. To be successful as a WebSphere administrator, you should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and analytical. Ultimately, a top-notch WebSphere administrator should have superior troubleshooting skills, be able to work quickly and efficiently, and willing to work outside of office hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring WebSphere Application Server environments.
  • Deploying and testing applications.
  • Fulfilling requests for access and system logs.
  • Monitoring, tracking, trending, analysis and tuning of the WebSphere environments
  • Troubleshooting issues and providing L1 support for WebSphere Application Server.
  • Performing QA audits.
  • Testing production environments.
  • Developing and testing scripts to control WebSphere application servers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or another related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel/relocate within Middle East region.
  • Linux basic knowledge (Administration is a plus)
  • Good communication skills. Fluent in English.
  • From 2 to 4 years of experience in WebSphere Application Server administration (Certification is a plus).
  • Security knowledge is a must.
  • Good documentation and presentation skills.
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-organised, can manage a small team of less experienced teammates.
  • Ability to do fast learning, receiving delivering handovers in timely fashion.
  • Good planner, has the ability to plan for system enhancements, patching, upgrades.
  • Fast adaptation to different working environments.
