The MongoDB Administrator is responsible for maintaining and updating the database, along with checking for updates and possible security points. Every database has particular roles like user and administration. The admin role has the ability to execute administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- The MongoDB Administrator maintains and configures MongoDB instance.
- The MongoDB keeps clear documentation of the database setup and architecture.
- The MongoDB writes procedures for backup and disaster recovery.
- The MongoDB ensures that the databases achieve maximum performance and availability.
- The MongoDB designs indexing strategies.
- The MongoDB configures, monitors, and deploys replica sets.
- The MongoDB upgrades databases through patches.
- The MongoDB creates roles and users and set their permissions.
Qualifications
- Experience in optimizing insertions of large amounts of data.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and communications skills to handle critical circumstances well.
- Determine tools to be used for the projects and set coding standards.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills to handle various critical situations.
- Experience in developing scripts to automate frequent tasks
- 6+ year’s hands-on experience as DBA and 2+ years on MongoDB.
- Understanding of enterprise application technology architecture, components, databases, networking, and infrastructure as code.
- Strong DBA Experience – MongoDB
