The IoT Security Specialist will act as a technical consultant for Internet of Things, and Industrial Internet of Things (IoT/IIoT) projects, and will promote reference architectures for securing IoT devices and applications.
- Conducts regularly scheduled and ad-hoc application and system scans, researching and analyzing vulnerabilities to actively identify, investigate, assess, and prioritize the appropriate responses.
- Coordinates with the IS Security Officer and Corporate Compliance Officer to ensure that reported or detected Vulnerabilities and Threat exposures are properly entered into the Risk Register
- With guidance from the Director IS Infrastructure, coordinates with necessary team members to assess identified gaps in control effectiveness, agent deployments, security event log tuning, etc.,
- The IoT Security Specialist provides remediation guidance, and contribute to the execution of the required gap remediation for solutions.
- The IoT Security Specialist develops IS security education and training materials and conducts training sessions either in person or via online education systems.
- The IoT Security Specialist conducts phishing testing.
- Understands asset criticality as a primary component to the Risk calculation for identified system software and configuration vulnerabilities.
- The IoT Security Specialist Interfaces with vendor support teams to keep abreast of developments in product lines.
