The Data Center Support Specialist Installs, maintain, monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot data center equipment and software in support of data center operations. The Data Center Support Specialist supports production operations environment including multiple servers, networking, batch processing, backup and related activities.


Responsibilities
  • The Data Center Support Specialist provides technical support to remediate basic incidents or technology change ticket orders to support hardware replacement, upgrades and other requests for remediation.
  • Provides availability and stability for data center infrastructure such as cabling, server hardware, network, and storage equipment.
  • The Data Center Support Specialist maintains Data Center equipment inventory and helps coordinate shipping and receiving for the Data Center.
  • The Data Center Support Specialist creates correct documentation of all infrastructure stock equipment such as hardware items that have been installed or removed.
  • Provides support of off hour on call rotation to maintain appropriate support staff within the branch on a round the clock basis.
  • Contributes and managed in the day to day activities by the Data Room Facilities Operations Regional Lead.
  • Installs, monitors and decommissions as necessary.
  • Supports and reviews Service Level Agreements..

Qualifications
  • General knowledge Computer and Network environments.
  • Technical aptitude, initiative, creativity, and strong client service skills.
  • Dependable, multi-task oriented, accountable, and committed to follow through with activities and provide feedback as necessary.
  • Experience with various aspects of hosting center technology infrastructure management and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of facility technologies.
  • Basic analytical acumen and solution orientation to understand and appropriately identify variances in the day to day operation.
  • Must possess effective interpersonal skills and develop productive relationships with clients, peers, superiors, and subordinates.
  • Basic knowledge of business continuity concepts. Highly motivated, self-directed team player with enthusiasm for their work. .
