The Data Architect builds and maintains a company's database by identifying structural and installation solutions. The Database Architect works with database administrators and analysts to secure easy access to company data. Duties include creating database solutions, evaluating requirements, and preparing design reports.
- Establishes local data team by close collaboration with the global Data Group.
- The Database Architect works as the liaison to global Data Group in Headquarters.
- The Database Architect ensures compliance with data policy and process across the development teams.
- Develops database programs and automation tools.
- The Database Architect manages local data-related infrastructure.
- Performs Proof-of-concept tests and performance benchmarks.
- The Database Architect collaborates with System Architect, Security Architect, Business Owners, and Business Analyst to understands business requirements.
- The Database Architect develops and documents database architectural strategies at the modeling, design and implementation stages to address business requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, ability to understand complex problems and to generate appropriate technical solutions.
- Knowledge in different data security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent skills in MongoDB and MySQL/MariaDB, preferably in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- Knowledge of database modelling and optimization techniques.

- Experience in handling database server security implementation and high-availability solutions.
- Experience in backup & recovery, performance tuning & monitoring, capacity planning, mirroring, and clustering.
- Knowledge of Reporting/Business Intelligence databases and tools.
